A Song of Praise
1In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. 2Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith. 3You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. 4Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal. 5He humbles those who dwell on high, he lays the lofty city low; he levels it to the ground and casts it down to the dust. 6Feet trample it down—the feet of the oppressed, the footsteps of the poor. 7The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. 8Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. 9My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. 10But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.11 Lord, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

Day 1: The Song of Salvation
Scripture: Isaiah 26:1–2 “In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah: We have a strong city; God makes salvation its walls and ramparts. Open the gates that the righteous nation may enter, the nation that keeps faith.”
Reflection:
God’s people celebrate the security He provides. The imagery of walls and ramparts shows that our ultimate protection is not military might, money, or human strategy—it is God’s salvation. Peace begins with knowing we are secure in God’s saving power.
Application:
Ask: Where do I look for my security? In possessions, people, or God’s salvation?
Prayer:
"Lord, remind me that true peace is found only in Your saving power. Help me to rest in the security of Your promises."
Day 2: Perfect Peace for a Steadfast Mind
Scripture: Isaiah 26:3–4 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”
Reflection:
The Hebrew phrase shalom shalom emphasizes complete wholeness. God promises to guard those whose minds are fixed on Him. Trust is not passive—it’s an intentional decision to lean on God daily. Peace flows from steadfast trust in the Rock Eternal.
Application:
Ask: Is my mind fixed on God or distracted by fear, doubt, and worry?
Prayer:
"Father, steady my thoughts on You. Anchor my heart in Your eternal strength and grant me perfect peace."

Day 3: The Way of the Righteous
Scripture: Isaiah 26:7–9 “The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.”
Reflection:
God Himself makes the path smooth—not necessarily easy, but purposeful and directed. Peace comes from walking in obedience and waiting with desire for God’s presence. Even in delay, the faithful heart longs for God above all.
Application:
Ask: Am I desiring God Himself, or only what He can do for me?
Prayer:
"Lord, help me to walk in Your ways with patience and desire for Your glory above all else."

Day 4: Longing for God’s Presence
Scripture: Isaiah 26:9–10 “My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you. When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness. But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness.”
Reflection:
True peace comes from intimacy with God. Isaiah models a heart that longs for God day and night. Yet he also notes that some resist God’s grace. Peace is nurtured in those who seek God’s presence, while unrest remains for those who ignore Him.
Application:
Ask: Do I yearn for God with my whole being, or only seek Him when life is difficult?
Prayer:
"Lord, awaken my soul to long for You daily. Teach me to find peace in Your presence, morning and night."

Day 5: God’s Hand and Human Humility
Scripture: Isaiah 26:11 “Lord, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.”
Reflection:
God’s peace comes with His justice. While His hand protects His people, His judgment humbles the proud. Peace is not cheap—it is established by God’s power against evil. Lasting peace flows from acknowledging God’s authority and humbly submitting to His rule.
Application:
Ask: Am I willing to humble myself under God’s hand and trust His justice, even when I don’t understand?
Prayer:
"Mighty God, open my eyes to Your hand at work. Keep me humble under Your authority and fill me with Your lasting peace."
