I'm Coming Out Of This: A Message Of Hope- Part 3
A 5-Day Devotional Guide based on Matthew 20:17-19 (NIV)
"Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them, 'We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief of priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!'"
Day 1: The Journey Has Purpose
Matthew 20:17 {NIV}– “Now Jesus was going up to Jerusalem. On the way, he took the Twelve aside and said to them,”
Sermon Thought: "Your destination may be difficult, but it's divine"
Exhortation: Jesus didn't stumble into Jerusalem by accident - He went with divine intent. Likewise, the road you're walking is not random. It may involve pain or uncertainty, but it's part of God's redemptive plan. Jesus' journey to Jerusalem teaches us that even the path of suffering can lead to glory.
Application: When you feel unsure about where you're headed, remember: your journey is part of something bigger. Don't despise the direction - embrace the purpose.
Affirmation: I may not understand the journey, but I trust the One who orders my steps.
Prayer: Lord, give me courage to walk the road You've set before me. Remind me that my steps are not wasted when You're guiding me.

Day 2: God Will Pull You Aside To Prepare You
Matthew 20:17b {NIV}– “He took the Twelve aside...”
Sermon Thought: "God doesn't just move you forward - He prepares you along the way."
Exhortation: Before the cross, before the resurrection - Jesus paused to talk. In the same way, God will often pull you aside to whisper words of instruction, warning, or comfort. Preparation often precedes elevation.
Application: Pay attention to your "pull aside" moments - they are divine briefings for your destiny. Don't rush the pause; it might be your place of power.
Affirmation: God is preparing me for what's next, even in quiet seasons.
Prayer: Lord, help me to listen when You pull me aside. I don't want to miss the wisdom You want to impart.

Sermon Thought: "The forecast may be painful, but the outcome is promised"
Exhortation: Jesus foretold the betrayal, condemnation, and crucifixion. He was not blindsided. Similarly, God knows the trials you will face and has already made provision for you to endure. Pain may be part of the plan, but it's never the final word.
Application: Don't equate God's silence with His absence. He's not surprised by your suffering - He's strengthening you through it.
Affirmation: God already saw this storm and secured my victory on the other side.
Prayer: God, I trust You even in the pain. Help me walk through it knowing that You've gone before me.
