How it all started...
We were born out of the pain of the inability to fit in and the inability to please everyone. We sought solace in God and realized we had a different calling. On November 30, 2014, in a multipurpose worship room at Prince of Peace Baptist Church in North Philadelphia, Vision of Hope Baptist Church held it's first service. We worshipped at Prince of Peace for three years before God Blessed us with our own home in Jenkintown, PA.
Our Biblical foundation is:
9But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.- 1 Peter 2:9-10 (NIV)
We chose the name Vision of Hope because:
Vision is defined as SOMETHING SEEN. Hope is an expectation of a favorable future.
Vision of Hope Baptist Church is a church that demonstrates Christ-centered loved in the congregation and the community which leads individuals into having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, provides Biblical and Spiritual direction, and illustrates a favorable future under God's direction.
Vision of Hope Baptist Church is more than just a name.
IT IS A CHRIST CENTERED LIFESTYLE!
